It was an odd accomplishment for the 23-year-old Filipino considering longtime Japanese coach, Munehiro Kugimiya, was not by Yulo’s side. Word got out last week that both went separate ways, a surprising development considering the tight-knit relationship that both had the past years.
Carlos Edriel Yulo, best known as Caloy Yulo to most, made headlines recently after securing a ticket to the 2024 Paris Olympics for his efforts in the floor exercise at the 2023 Artistic Gymnastics World Championships at the Sportspaleis in Antwerp, Belgium on Sunday, Oct. 1.The reason behind the split reportedly had something to do with Yulo’s personal life. These claims have slowly surfaced with the girlfriend of Yulo allegedly wanting Caloy to spend more time with him.
In all, the personal life of Yulo is being singled out. And that radiated even more when he started his routines at the Artistic World Championships.
