McCarthy called the plays the majority of his time as head coach of the Green Bay Packers before eventually giving it up.

That’s the word from the Cowboys’ brass in their first public comments Wednesday about why Moore and the team decided to part ways last weekend.

You will see more ball control, something McCarthy stressed in his three seasons in watching Moore run the show. McCarthy said he wanted at least 30 running plays a game as a good balance with the pass. At times, Moore missed that mark.
