The UN agency for Palestinian refugees provides humanitarian resources in the Gaza Strip
It has a dual role that encompasses humanitarian and developmental responsibilities – effectively delivering governance-like services across dozens of refugee camps in the West Bank andUNRWA has 13,000 staff in Gaza, of whom 125 health staff work in rotating shifts at health centres.since 2007, and Egypt’s restrictions on access, has limited food, fuel, medical supplies and people from passing into Gaza.

The White House national security spokesperson, John Kirby, has described Israel’s concerns as legitimate, but said that “fuel needs to be able to get in to the people of Gaza”. The senior UN aid official, Lynn Hastings, told the Security Council that no fuel “means no hospitals functioning, no desalination of water and no baking”.: “Without fuel, we will fail the people of Gaza whose needs are growing by the hour, under our watch.
