Every single player at the FIFA Women's World Cup will be paid depending on how far their team makes it in the tournament in a scheme FIFA President Gianni Infantino has labelled 'unprecedented'.
Under the new pay scheme labelled “unprecedented” by FIFA President Gianni Infantino the players will be paid out depending on how far their nation goes in the World Cup beginning in Australia and New Zealand next month.

Picture: Cameron Spencer/Getty Images Beyond the top four, nations will be rewarded on what stage of the tournament they get to so the quarterfinalists who do not progress will receive $134,000 each, the round of 16 qualifiers will walk away with $90,000 each and players failing to get out of the group stage will get $45,000.
