Whistling winds that rattled many Bay Area windows and trees over the weekend will give way to wetter, cooler conditions this week, the National Weather Service said.
“We’ve got a high-pressure gradient setting up and shifting winds from northerly to more northwesterly, bringing some cooler, moister air,” Lorber said of a system expected to swing south overnight, pulling a front across the Bay Area. Cooler temperatures will also follow, coming as a break after last week’s record-breaking highs, with most temperatures at least five to seven degrees below average for the week.
