Channel 7’s star AFL reporter Ryan Daniels has quickly shot down a rumour about West Coast’s emerging superstar Harley Reid. On Thursday night a prominent journalist from Western Australia stirred the rumour mill when tweeting about Reid’s contract. Reid is of course the hottest topic in town with No.1 draft pick taking the AFL world by storm and constantly wowing fans by his amazing talents.
But the well connected Daniels moved to immediately allay any of those fears on Friday morning, while also highlighting a key detail that needed to be factored before Reid inks any new deal. “There’s no imminent contract extension for Harley Reid at West Coast Eagles,” Daniels said on X on Friday. “No drama attached — 2.5 years left on current contact.
