We chat with HighDesert stars Weruche Opia & rupertfriend about what drew them to the AppleTVPlus series, how Weruche and Patricia Arquette got along on set, and how Rupert found his way into Guru Bob:
High Desert follows former addict Peggy as she embarks on a new lease on life. After the passing of her beloved mother, she decides to try her hand at becoming a private investigator, but things go off-kilter when she accidentally discovers an art scam.
Screen Rant spoke with Weruche Opia and Rupert Friend about their High Desert roles. They reveal what drew them to want to be a part of the series during the interview. Weruche Opia talks about finding that female friendship chemistry with Patricia Arquette and Rupert Friend confesses when he knew he found his character, Guru Bob.
Then I found out that Patricia Arquette is going to play the lead, and [I had] just watched the other collaborations with Ben Stiller, Escape At Dannemora, and Severance. Patricia is going into another stratosphere in her career, and it's so exciting to watch. And director Jay Roach is a huge hero of mine. It was a triple threat slam dunk for me.
