Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-OluLagos State Government said it has paid N4.43 billion as insurance death benefits and claims since 2019 to beneficiaries of deceased civil servants in the state.
Oluyomi explained that Governor Sanwo-Olu, shortly after his assumption of office in 2019, commenced the payment of Group Life Policies insurance premiums for welfare of staff as well as non-life premiums for all the assets of the state government within the state. According to the commissioner, the Land Use Charge Assessment Appeal Tribunal , established pursuant to the Land Use Charge Law, has consistently provided an avenue for persons dissatisfied with the LUC imposed on their properties to appeal.
