“The Silk Road has been a symbol of peace and cooperation in terms of economic, cultural, political and religious interactions between the East and West for centuries,” he said in a Facebook post on the same day. Earlier yesterday, Dr Wee also met with Liu during a courtesy visit on the invitation of the Chinese Ambassador to Malaysia Ouyang Yujing.
“My appreciation goes to Ouyang Yujing and his wife for their invitation to the luncheon at their official residence this afternoon,” he said.
