KUALA LUMPUR: With their party polls deferred till after the 15th General Election (GE15), both Umno and MCA believe they can fully focus on preparing for the upcoming national polls.

MCA president Datuk Seri Dr Wee Ka Siong congratulated fellow Barisan Nasional comrade Umno for amending its constitution to postpone its party election – a move emulating what MCA had done.

“I wish Umno the very best. As fellow component partners in Barisan Nasional, I feel we both share the same vision. He agreed with Umno president Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi’s statement that postponing party elections would ensure stability.
