IJN's Dr Suneta Sulaiman said the fireman had been allowed only limited use of his mobile phone and told not to browse the internet too much.
February 26, 2019 2:23 PM Dr Suneta Sulaiman SHAH ALAM: A doctor who treated fireman Muhammad Adib Mohd Kassim at the National Heart Institute told the inquest into his death today that she had warned him against browsing through reports about his hospitalisation. Dr Suneta Sulaiman, who heads IJN’s intensive care unit, said Adib’s team of doctors had agreed to let him use his mobile phone occasionally.
“When I explained to him that he was only allowed limited use of his phone, such as to communicate with family members and his fiancé, he nodded his head,” she said. She said she had communicated with Adib on the use of his phone between Dec 4 and 11, when the fireman was receiving treatment through the extracorporeal membrane oxygenation machine which aided his lung function. She said Adib’s condition deteriorated after Dec 14, and that doctors had been forced to increase his medication.
