Sydney is on a “trajectory to hollow itself out” if Australia does not tackle the growing housing crisis, says Committee for Sydney CEO Eamon Waterford. Mr Waterford’s comments come after Sydney was named the second least affordable city in the world. “We’re having a significant economic burden from not solving the housing crisis,” he told Sky News Australia. “We’ve got to build a lot of houses … more than we’ve ever built in this city in any one year but every single year for the foreseeable future.”
