Groups on both sides of the AFL stadium debate are expected to flock to North Hobart Oval this weekend to make their stance on the controversial Macquarie Point project.

Stadium supporters are expected to arrive at North Hobart Oval wearing t-shirts and holding up signs in favour of the Macquarie Point project after weeks of stark criticism. "If you're going to the game July 1st please bring a 'Yes AFL Team, Yes Stadium' sign with you. Every time Tassie kicks a goal we should all hold them up and wave them around," another wrote.
A member of the NO AFL STADIUM Facebook page created a post encouraging"thousands" to come along on Saturday to"show support for our Tassie men, woman and children and tell Jeremy Rockliff No Billion Dollar Debt". "I just hope the day doesn’t turn into just a Yes vs No and the actual Game itself and the guys and girls representing the map get the support they deserve," another added.
During a press conference, the Premier was asked how he plans to retain Mr Tucker's confidence following the"aggressive" statements he made last week about how he felt the government had handled issues around the stadium.
