KLANG: The proposal to replace the Russian-made Sukhoi fighter jets of the Royal Malaysian Air Force (RMAF) is still being studied.

On Thursday, Prime Minister Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad said Malaysia was very cautious about spending too much to replace the two variants of the Russian-made fighter jets with updated versions. When asked about the investigation into the death of a commando at the Lok Kawi Camp in Sabah on Wednesday, Mohamad said it was still going on, and was confident it would not take too long.
