PUTRAJAYA’S decision to lift the ban on a book by G25 clearly shows it upholds freedom of expression, said P. Waytha Moorthy. In a statement today, the minister in the Prime Minister’s Department said: “This momentous decision bodes well with Article 19 of the United Nations Universal Declaration of Human Rights, which states that everyone has the right to freedom of opinion and expression, including the freedom to hold opinions without interference, and to seek, receive and impart information and ideas through any media and regardless of frontiers.
