'Waterbomb Osaka' cancelled after an accident causing the death of a staff member
An unfortunate accident a day prior to 'On July 14, 'Waterbomb Osaka 2023' announced the cancellation of the weekend event, originally scheduled to take place from July 15-16 at Maishima Sports Island. The event stated,
"A serious accident occurred during the stage setup for the Osaka event; therefore, we announce the cancellation of 'Waterbomb Osaka 2023'." According to the event's official statement, a male staff member was hit in the head with water from a water sprouting machine, blasting at approximately 120 kilometers per hour. The staff lost consciousness and was transported to the hospital, where he ultimately passed away.
