PETALING JAYA: The water supply to 472 areas in Selangor affected by odour pollution will return in stages on Tuesday (May 3) night, says Datuk Seri Amirudin Shari.
In a tweet, the Selangor Mentri Besar said checks done at 3.30pm found that the pollution was neutralised several hours after it was detected at dawn.
Earlier, Air Selangor said that 472 areas in Selangor will experience unscheduled water disruptions from 3pm on Tuesday due to odour pollution at the Jenderam Hilir raw water pump station intake. On April 30, odour pollution was also detected at the Air Selangor water pump station, causing another unscheduled water disruption to some parts of the Klang Valley.
