Utah Sen. Mike Lee, using a nasally voice and hand gestures, imitated former President Donald Trump during a speech at The Federalist Society’s 2022 National Lawyers Convention in Washington, D.C., on Friday.
The Utah Republican told the story of a White House meeting with Trump, while dipping in and out of an impression of the former president.
Lee told the former president that he’d need a few hours to consult with lawyers to get the answer to his question. After a few hours, Lee said he had the answer to Trump’s question and went back to explain it to him.
