In an episode of The Mangahas Interviews, Vergeire said that the Inter-Agency Task Force on Emerging Infectious Diseases knew that there would be no physical distancing with public transportation allowed to operate at 100% capacity. "Ang isa pang napag usapan hindi talaga maipapatupad ang physical distancing sa ating mga public transport because kailangan po ng tao e para makarating sila sa kanilang mga essential na gagawin," Vergeire told journalist Malou Mangahas.Vergeire reiterated that there should be no eating and talking in the PUVs, neither should there be passengers more than the seating capacity.
