In a photo posted to Facebook, Helotes officials show off five puppies that were abandoned near a dumpster.Abandoned critters include guinea pigs and even puppies, both found within the last week. Helotes Animal Control rescued five puppies left by a dumpster last week, entrusting them to the care of the Helotes Humane Society. Animal Control officials did not say where exactly the puppies were found.were without a foster home as of Wednesday, with HHS serving as a foster-based organization.
"We provide vet care, supplies, bedding, food, formula," Helotes Humane Society wrote in a social media post."You provide the love. Please, if you can take even one, it would be a huge help!" The puppies are shepherd and border collie mixes and none of them was injured when they were found. While five were found, just one of them was in a foster home as of Wednesday. The puppies are not yet ready for adoption, as they still need their vaccinations, but they will be available within the next few weeks, according to the Humane Society.
