This will be about the ninth time Dalton has engaged with reporters aboard the aircraft since moving to the White House last summer.Dalton works under White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre and could serve as a successor to Jean-Pierre if or when she decides to step away.
The press conference comes as President Joe Biden continues to push his 2024 reelection campaign, most recently touting his administration's success in what it calls"Bidenomics." He will give an address on his economic plan at 1 p.m. Eastern time.Biden received backlash from Republicans and opponents after his son, Hunter Biden, entered a plea deal with the Justice Department on charges relating to failure to pay taxes and felony gun possession.
