ST. ANTHONY, Idaho — Samantha Gwilliam told Lori Vallow Daybell Monday that her sister, Tammy Daybell, was "1000 times the woman" she could dream of being. She said Lori Daybell ripped their family apart and questioned why and how she would plan something "so heinous."
The statement was made during a sentencing hearing for Lori Daybell which is underway for killing her two children, 7-year-old JJ Vallow and 16-year-old Tylee Ryan, and conspiring to kill her now-husband's wife in the high-profile murder case that shocked the country.will be allowed to share comments.Conspiracy to commit murder in the first degree of Tylee Ryan and grand theft by deception.
In a statement read by Gwilliam, Ronald Douglas said his daughter Tammy Daybell's death was unexpected, and the family did not understand the quick burial until later when law enforcement showed up at their door searching for JJ and Tylee. He said the death of his daughter caused stress on his wife who was fighting leukemia and also caused estranged relationships with his Daybell grandchildren.
