Hillary Clinton will return to the White House on Tuesday to celebrate the recipients of the Praemium Imperiale, a lifetime achievement in the arts award by the Japan Art Association.
Appearing alongside first lady Jill Biden, it will be Clinton's first public appearance at the White House since the Obama administration.
The former secretary of state has kept her distance from the executive branch since her 2016 election loss to former President Donald Trump.Clinton first honored the recipients of the prize with husband and then-President Bill Clinton at the White House in 1994.She is scheduled to introduce the recipients of the 34th Praemium Imperiale around 5 p.m.
