She never bent her head, she held it up high and looked at the world straight in its face. She allowed people to look at her real, flawed, quirky, weird, beautiful and magical person that she was.
“She had a dream to became the greatest. Kuli followed her passion. She aired her views without fear. She made sacrifices and never allowed anyone to limit her dreams,” Papane said.SA – Nina Hastie and Shaka Sisulu – directed the memorial service programme. Afro-soul musician Siphokazi Maraqana performed a moving tribute to get the service underway. Roberts will be laid to rest in a private ceremony on Thursday.
