MBC’s “Kokdu: Season of Deity” is a new fantasy romance which tells the story of a grim reaper named Kokdu who comes down to this world to punish humans every 99 years. When Kokdu meets Han Gye Jeol , a doctor with mysterious abilities, he starts working as a visiting doctor.
The drama’s fourth teaser begins with Han Gye Jeol introducing herself. Despite her busy life as a doctor, Han Gye Jeol always remains bright and cheerful. Unlike her, Kokdu feels isolated and lonely while standing on the dry road of the underworld. Given that they are from two different worlds and have entirely different lifestyles, how will Han Gye Jeol and Kokdu cross paths?
Although the powerful Kokdu wants to maintain his cold and intimidating image, he quickly realizes that is somehow impossible with Han Gye Jeol. When she screams at him to kneel and apologize to her, Kokdu scoffs at the ridiculous demand, but is shocked when his body moves on its own to obey her orders.
It’s unclear whether Han Gye Jeol is aware of the power she holds over Kokdu, but the strange phenomenon continues to occur where he has no choice but to help her out. Even while complaining, Kokdu does not seem to leave Han Gye Jeol’s side, teasing their blossoming relationship. Eventually, Kokdu boldly suggests, “Let’s try dating.” Han Gye Jeol remains hesitant and replies, “If you want to date me, state some evidence. Evidence that we are meant to be.” Kokdu confidently responds, “Should we check right now? Let’s kiss.”“Kokdu: Season of Deity” premieres on January 27 at 9:50 p.m. KST and will be available on Viki.
