Watch Combo Chimbita play with fire in the new video for 'Revelación (Candela)'
is a hard act to emulate. They turn up the heat in their latest single, “Revelación .” The song is featured in their sophomore LPFronted by vocalist Carolina Oliveros, the Brooklyn-based band specialize in their own blend of tropical psychedelia, accented by surfy guitar licks and Afro-Caribbean percussions. Producer Daniel Schlett ramps up the mysticism in “Revelación ,” or “Revelation ,” ensuring that the impact of Oliveros’ shamanic rock howl is felt well beyond the physical plane.
“Fire refers to the impulse of life!” writes Oliveros. “The fire symbolizes life itself — in not ceasing to stoke that fire and not extinguish it. Fire is the strength, intensity and hope of living.
