Georgia football picked up a massive win over a ranked Kentucky team as they won the game by a final score of 51-13. The Bulldogs' offense got things rolling early in the football game and never looked back as they never trailed in the game. Quarterback Carson Beck posted another impressive performance as he threw for nearly 400 yards and four touchdowns, one of which was to tight end Brock Bowers.
Bowers finished the day with seven receptions, 132 receiving yards and a touchdown. That is now two consecutive monster outings from the Georgia tight end, as he helped propel Georgia over Auburn on the road just a week ago. Bowers has started to insert himself into the Heisman trophy race over the past couple of weeks, and today's performance only helped his cause.
Dawgs Daily caught up with Bowers following the game to talk about what helped the offense get off to such as a hot start and his performance overall, he accredited the offensive line and Beck's play. Here is everything Bowers had to stay after Saturday's win:The Bulldogs racked up a season-high 608 yards of offense on 73 plays, the first 600-yard+ effort since 2020 versus Missouri . In the first half, Georgia had 384 yards on 38 plays, scoring on its first six possessions.
Beck completed his first 13 passes for 158 yards and 2 TDs. The 13 consecutive completions to start a game and that ranks third best in school history. The record is 15 shared by Quincy Carter and Eric Zeier .
