, Billie Eilish and her brother Finneas shared how “bad guy” came together and touched upon the show when they talked about the post-chorus. “And you know what it literally is?” Billie told Finneas. “It’s not at all the same melodies but it’s literally.” In the video, she even sings part of the theme song, so she’s clearly a true fan.
Honestly, we love the reference, whether it was intentional or accidental, and it makes sense, since the two were growing up whenwas still on the air. The pair also revealed other interesting factoids about how the song was made, including that it took 34 takes for Billie to get the right “duh” at the end of the chorus.
Billie and Finneas wrote and produced the entirety of Billie’s debut album together, and just last month, they racked up a total of 11between the two of them; six for Billie and five for Finneas. Billie is the youngest artist to ever be nominated for all four major categories at the Grammys: Best New Artist, Record of the Year, Album of the Year, and Song of the Year.
