Since the incident, it is understood that Dr Mahathir has been attending physiotherapy sessions almost daily. However, little has been seen of the veteran statesman in public, with most videos shared online believed to have been recorded before his injury. Even on his social media accounts, where he remains active, Dr Mahathir has largely kept his rehabilitation process away from the public eye.

The former prime minister appeared to require a cushion for support while seated, but his cheerful demeanour suggested that he remains remarkably spirited — especially for someone set to celebrate his 101st birthday this July.
