Skunks are the unlikely badasses of the animal world. Small, waddling, and sort of cute, they would seem vulnerable if it weren’t for weapon they keep loaded in their anal glands. As it is, they go where they want, brazenly poking their noses into every hole.
The bear is in a field of grass, eating, frolicking, and just being a bear. But then—cue the music—it sees a skunk and runs over to inspect the critter. You get the feeling that it might be this bear’s first skunk experience. You also get the feeling that it is not the skunk’s first bear experience, because it stands its ground confidently.
