Six out of seven species of sea turtles were possibly threatened due to the effects of climate change.

Published

According to Cedric Castillo’s “24 Oras” report on Thursday, climate is affecting the journey of sea turtles in the ocean due to the change in current or water flow.“Naiimpluwensyahan ng climate change dahil binabago nito yung ocean currents so nahihirapan silang magnavigate papunta sa ibang island kung saan walang ganitong kastrict na protection so baka ma-endangered din yung buhay nila,” resident biologist of Apo Island Edmar Detecio said.

Meanwhile, 700 animal species including Philippine eagle and Sulu hornbill, which can be found in the Philippines, were possibly endangered due to climate change.
