Capital One Arena was ranked in the top ten most dangerous NBA arenas, according to a recent report.

Last year, the owner of the Wizards and Capitals, Ted Leonsis, was proposing to move the teams out of Washington, but his plan fell through. Last month, the District of Columbia Council approved a $515 million deal to revamp the arena and surroundings. Washington Mayor Muriel Bowser had also struck an agreement with Leonsis, which addressed his public safety concerns. To ease the owner’s worries, the district would create a public safety plan before events and dedicate 17 officers for patrol two hours before and after events.
