I-480 WB near Warrensville Center Road closed due to crash; police officer transported to hospital
A Warrensville Heights Police officer was taken to the hospital Saturday morning after being struck on I-480 near Warrensville Center Road.
The Warrensville Heights Fire Department said the officer was struck on the freeway, but it's unclear if he was hit directly or was in a vehicle that was struck. The officer's condition is unknown.The westbound lanes are currently closed. It's unclear how long the road will be closed. Motorists should plan to take an alternate route.
