INDIANAPOLIS — With the exception of the stiff breeze, it's overall a really pleasant autumn day in central Indiana. It's certainly a warmer finish compared to 24 hours ago with temperatures settling well into the 50s. This is courtesy to the sun and a southwest wind of 10-15 mph that is gusting over 20 mph at times
That wind will increase in the next 24 hours and we anticipate gusts over 30 mph at times Friday afternoon into the evening. There will be plenty of sunshine to open Friday with only an increase in mid-to-high level clouds midday into afternoon.The wind relaxes a bit over the weekend as a weak frontal boundary stalls north of I-70. That keeps the majority of the viewing area on the milder side with highs remaining in the 60s Saturday and Sunday.
