Warisan’s Kimanis division chief Datuk Karim Bujang said that Bersatu had earlier agreed to make way for the 3-year-old party to field its candidate for the seat.
“As for the announcement of the candidate, it will be made by party president Datuk Seri Mohd Shafie Apdal soon,” he said when contacted.A source within Pakatan Harapan had earlier claimed that there is an ongoing tussle between Warisan and Bersatu over the Kimanis by-election candidate. Last month, Sabah PH chief Datuk Christina Liew and senior leaders from other component parties signed an agreement to allow Warisan to contest the by-election.
