BEAUFORT: Parti Warisan Sabah candidate for the Kimanis by-election, Datuk Karim Bujang, hopes discussions can be held with oil and gas company Petronas to build a processing plant in Kimanis instead of sending raw materials to Bintulu, Sarawak, for processing.

Karim said the Sabah Oil and Gas Terminal in Kimanis sends a huge amount of oil and gas to be processed in Bintulu, and some was bought by independent power producers directly. “Some are happy and some are not, ” he said, adding that he cannot promise the stars and moon now but will try to see how to help the people of Membakut solve their woes.
