Dr. Ahmad Murad dalam satu hantaran di Facebook memahari wartawan tersebut kerana tajuk yang digunakan 'Melayu bertapak sejak 1786' dalam laporan akhbar berkenaan dianggap sebagai salah dan tidak tepat sama sekali.
"Dan kewujudan Melayu di Pulau Pinang sebelum 1786. Apakah bodoh dan bahlul sangat wartawan Melayu ini? Wartawan Melayu buta Sejarah dari dulu. Tiada perspektif dan sikap yang betul," kata Dr. Ahmad Murad.Menurut Dr. Ahmad Murad kesalahan dan kesilapan begitu memerlukan mekanisme saluran aduan akhbar seperti majlis media.
Sementara itu, warganet tidak bersetuju dengan penggunaan perkataan bebal, bodoh dan bahlul dalam hantaran yang dilakukan Dr. Ahmad Murad pada 8 Mac itu.
