PETALING JAYA: Seniman veteran Abdul Wahid Ahmad atau lebih dikenali sebagai “Wahid Satay”, 93, menghembuskan nafas terakhir kira-kira 8.15 pagi tadi di rumah cucunya.

Menurut anak keduanya, Hafizah Abdul Wahid, 67, kesihatan bapanya mula merosot sejak dua minggu lalu selepas keluar dari Hospital Changi bagi menerima rawatan berkaitan sakit kencing manisnya.“Arwah masih riang dan boleh bercakap sebelum ini. Beliau mula terlantar di katil sejak dua minggu lalu. Arwah turut menghidap darah tinggi dan jantung,” katanya ketika dihubungi. Wahid yang mula aktif dalam dunia lakonan sejak 1957 dan membintangi lebih 30 filem meninggalkan enam orang anak.
