Vice President and Education Secretary Sara Duterte led relief operations for oil spill-affected residents in a coastal town in Antique, concurrently distributing school supplies to public schools.
In a statement on Tuesday, the Office of the Vice President said Duterte joined the Department of Welfare and Social Development in distributing cash aid and relief goods to oil spill victims in Caluya town through Assistance to Individuals in Crisis Situation and the Relief for Individuals in Crisis and Emergencies.
A total of 1,200 food boxes were distributed to affected residents from Barangays Semirara, Tinogboc, Alegria and Sibolo, and Sitio Liwagao on Monday, the OVP said.
