Ready to volt in at California’s biggest comics convention?

On top of all its achievements, the best badge the gigantic robot “Voltes V” wears is the one that saysAfter taking over your family’s core memories of the ’70s during the Japanese anime series’ first broadcast in the Philippines, it recently made its comeback through “Voltes V: Legacy,” a live-action adaptation this 2023.And if humming the theme song or streaming weekly recaps online isn’t enough, the show will take over another space: The San Diego Comic-Con.

During the annual Toycon PH in Pasay City on July 8, series director Mark V. Reyes broke the news about the show’s partnership with entertainment publishing powerhouse Dogu, ushering in “Voltes V: Legacy’s” convention debut.In front of the Toycon audience, Reyes revealed, “Wala pa pong Asian production ang nakakatapak sa San Diego Comic-Con in South California , but ‘Voltes V’ [from] a Filipino network—GMA Network—was invited.
