Peter Warne is set to join Virgin Australia’s board as part of a suite of executive and board level changes as the airline targets an ASX float.

Alongside Mr Warne, InfoTrack board member Pippa Downes will also join the board, according to a note to staff obtained byMeanwhile, Virgin chief financial officer David Marr will move into a newly created role specifically targeting the initial public offering strategy.

“David will transition to the newly created Chief Development Officer role,” Virgin boss Jayne Hrdlicka told staff on Tuesday.“David brings a wealth of experience to a transformational project of this nature. In particular, he led the demerger of the Endeavour drinks business from the Woolworths Group into a separate publicly listed company.
