A recent video that’s been making the rounds online shows a Chinese tourist throwing a robe handed to them by the security officer during their visit to the Putra Mosque in Putrajaya.
The incident has caught the attention of the Malaysian Islamic Development Department , prompting them to release a statement to address the situation.In the statement, it was noted that while the tourists were waiting for their robes, one of them was caught on video throwing back the robe at a security guard who was handing them out.
There were also reports of several cones being kicked down, which led the mosque management to investigate the incident further.Director General Dato’ Dr. Sirajuddin bin Suhaimee emphasised that the Putra Mosque is always welcoming to visitors and tourists, aiming to showcase the beauty of Islam and promote universal harmony.
