February 19, 2020 5:23 PMPETALING JAYA: The viral image of Finance Minister Lim Guan Eng “chairing” a Tabung Haji meeting is a deliberate attempt to spread racial and religious hatred in the country, said a statement from the Prime Minister’s Department.
It further said that the 1995 Tabung Haji Act states that the minister in charge of Tabung Haji is the minister in the Prime Minister’s Department managing the affairs of Islam, and not the finance minister.
