Viral clip of riot, illegal assembly in Lenggong fake, say cops

Perak police chief Yusri Hassan Basri said pictures that were uploaded by one TikTok account holder had been edited and the story that followed was fabricated to portray an unsafe situation. “The individual who did it was very creative by taking pictures of a different situations and later compiling them and creating a story to show an unsafe situation, especially in Lenggong, and as we know, Lenggong is the constituency of the menteri besar,” he said at a press conference at the Perak police contingent headquarters in Ipoh today.
