See the Countryman's new wardrobe of more sharply creased sheetmetal, and the show car's pale green paint with handsome rose gold accents.
The fresh-faced Countryman SUV is making its debut at the 2023 IAA auto show in Munich, Germany. While less rounded than before, the Countryman still wears a distinctly Mini design, with a boldly outlined grille, trapezoidal headlamps, big wheels, and a floating roof. The Countryman is slightly larger than before, with a longer wheelbase too, but it's still pretty small. The rear end features large chrome lettering that spells out the SUV's name and emphasizes the Countryman's width.
Both a front-wheel-drive E model and an all-wheel-drive SE All4 will be offered, but it's unknown if the U.S. will receive both. The more potent SE offers 308 horsepower, but its estimated range is lower at 225 miles per charge. The E, which may not come to the U.S., has a higher range estimate of 240 miles but makes just 201 horsepower.Around the back, the Countryman's new design calls for updated taillamps, but Mini kept the brand's signature Union Jack lighting theme.
