Nguyen Thi Tot Hai, a 45-year-old Vietnamese woman, pleaded not guilty in the Kuala Lumpur Sessions Court to charges of robbery. She is accused of robbing a Malaysian woman of a RM2,500 gold chain at a premises near The Body Shop Suria KLCC on December 28th. The prosecution did not recommend bail, but the judge granted bail at RM10,000 with two local sureties and the condition that the defendant surrender her passport to the court.

Perbuatan itu dilakukan di sebuah premis berdekatan The Body Shop Suria KLCC, Jalan Ampang, pada pukul 3.30 petang, 28 Disember lalu. Timbalan Pendakwa Raya, Nidzuwan Abdul Latip tidak mencadangkan sebarang jaminan kerana merupakan kesalahan yang tidak boleh dijamin dan tertuduh bukan warga Malaysia. Bagaimanapun, peguam bela P.Muniswer yang mewakili tertuduh merayu jaminan pada kadar yang paling minimum diberikan atas alasan anak guamnya menghidap penyakit jantung.
