A woman and her two children were rescued after their car rolled into a reservoir and police shot at a window to pull one of them out on June 3, 2023. New body camera footage captures the moment officers and strangers jumped into the water to rescue aThe rescue happened on Saturday, June 3 at the Settlement Canyon Reservoir in Tooele around 2 p.m. when officers received calls about a vehicle in the water.
In the body camera footage, you can hear someone screaming "She's in the water.... she's 12." You can also see the officers remove the body camera as they jump into the freezing water without hesitation.Parker said the officers tried several different ways to open the car, once they figured out where it was. He said they tried to open the doors and to break the windows with a hammer, but they didn't have any luck.
