NSTnation “It is a sign that the partners Muafakat Nasional nexus, Umno and Pas, have no mutual understanding.
Parti Amanah Negara Youth chief Hasnul Zulkarnain Abd Munaim said Lokman’s attack against Umno president Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi for supposedly proposing Umno to form cooperation with Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad, was proof the Malay party was not on the same page with Pas.
“It is a sign that the partners Muafakat Nasional nexus, Umno and Pas, have no mutual understanding. They are only thinking about their political survival. “The video clip also revealed that the alliance between Pas and Umno is just a mere gimmick to garner more support following their defeat in the last general election,” Hasnul said in a statement.
He also claimed that Pas at the same time “went behind Umno’s back”, believed to be in reference to Pas leadership’s support for Dr Mahathir to remain as prime minister.
