In the video, Dr Streram, speaking in Bahasa Melayu, introduces himself and says he has three “anak manusia” and two “anak bulu-bulu” , the latter referring to his pet cats Shanti and Krishna.“Krishna is very agile but not very friendly,” he said. He also shows photos of his two daughters Dr Priya Dashni, who is a veterinarian, and Dr Premila, a dentist.When asked by a person off camera whether he listened to his wife when he decidedHowever, he says he hopes that his furry children will become doctors and listen to him.Some netizens took a swipe at Dr Streram’s command of Bahasa Melayu.
“Why is he referring to his children as anak manusia and his pets as anak bulu-bulu? I cannot understand his Malay,” commented Haris Fadillah Muhamad.The Rantau polling day on Saturday will see a four-cornered fight between Dr Streram, Barisan Nasional’s Datuk Seri Mohamad Hasan and independent candidates R. Malarvizhi and Mohd Nor Yassin.
