The 3-second video showed the strange man with his arm around the victim, allegedly pulling her away as onlookers witnessed the incident. According to Chinapress, the woman managed to get away from her abductor and called the authorities with the help of good samaritans.
Brickfields OCPD Assistant Commissioner Amihizam Abdul Shukor confirmed that police arrived at the scene soon after and immediately arrested the man who was not far from where the incident happened. The arrest was made yesterday at around 6pm. It was reported that the perpetrator was armed and that the victim, who was a foreigner, was apparently held at knifepoint before she got away.said Amihizam in a statement released yesterday.
